If the mass ratio of Cao to MgO in brick is less than 1.39, it is called magnesia dolomite brick. In order to improve the thermal shock resistance, ZrO2 dolomite brick and ZrO2 magnesia dolomite brick have been developed.

Dolomite sand (snow white) 20-30 mesh is mainly used in stainless steel refining furnace (such as AOD, VOD furnace, etc.) and cement kiln firing area. For example, in AOD furnace lining, Germany uses fired dolomite brick, some other European countries use pure dolomite brick, and Japan uses magnesia dolomite brick. In addition, dolomite brick is commonly used in cement kiln firing area in Europe and the United States. Among them, 86% of cement kiln firing areas in the United States use this product. However, Baiyun brick is easy to absorb moisture and hydrate during transportation, storage and shutdown of the kiln, and has poor thermal shock resistance. They are usually used in kilns with an annual operation rate of more than 80%. In China, only a few manufacturers use cement rotary kiln and imported Baiyun brick.
